In a SUPER RARE appearance, we are honored to host the Deputy Sheriff of Woodsboro who happens to be your favorite lifeguard to our awesome lineup this year. Please welcome Marley Shelton to the first Washington State Horror Con from October 25th through the 27th in Puyallup.

She is best known for her roles as Wendy Peffercorn in David Mickey Evans’s coming-of-age comedy The Sandlot, the Customer in Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez’s neo-noir anthology film Sin City, Dr. Dakota Block in Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s double-feature film Grindhouse (Death Proof and Grindhouse), and Sheriff Deputy Judy Hicks in two installments of Wes Craven’s Scream franchise. Her other notable films include Pleasantville, Never Been Kissed, Sugar & Spice, Valentine, Bubble Boy, and Rampage.

Shelton first appeared on the small screen in an episode of sitcom The Family Man and big screen in ensemble drama Grand Canyon. While studying Film and Theatre at the University of California, she played a lifeguard in The Sandlot, Branch Davidian in Ambush in Waco and Neurian maiden in Hercules of the Underworld. She also appeared as a high school student and bulimia sufferer in TV movies Death of a Cheerleader and When Friendship Kills respectively, portrayed First Daughter Tricia in Nixon and guested on numerous TV shows including Cybill, Family Matters, and McKenna.

Shelton landed major roles in three consecutive teen movies, high school cheerleader Diane in Sugar and Spice, serial killer target Kate in Valentine and Jake Gyllenhaal’s girlfriend Chloe in Bubble Boy. She was The Customer in neo-noir Sin City. After appearing in talent show satire American Dreamz and Zach Braff’s The Last Kiss, Shelton worked with Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez on their grindhouse homages, playing Dr. Dakota Block in both Death Proof and Planet Terror in 2007.
