We looked for an iconic actor with a massive resume who also played an evil telepath in a cult-classic horror film. Bingo, we found him. Please welcome Michael Ironside to the Washington State Horror Con lineup in Puyallup from October 25th through the 27th.

Michael Ironside has made a strong and indelible impression with his often intense and explosive portrayals of fearsome villains. One of Ironside’s first roles was as evil telepath Darryl Revok in Scanners. He played the role of a serial killer, Colt Hawker, in the slasher film Visiting Hours.

Ironside’s credits include weary Detective Roersch in the thriller Cross Country, Overdog in Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, Jester in the blockbuster smash Top Gun, Major Paul Hackett in Extreme Prejudice, Lem Johnson in Watchers, Hugh Ashdown in Terminator: Salvation, The Perfect Storm, The Machinist, and General Katana in Highlander II: The Quickening.

Ironside has appeared as the evil Richter in Total Recall and Lieutenant Jean Rasczak in Starship Troopers. Michael was a tough mercenary Ham Tyler on the epic miniseries V, its follow-up V: The Final Battle, and subsequent spin-off series.

In 2011, Ironside appeared in the film: X-Men: First Class, playing the Captain of the 7th Fleet. Michael also had a recurring role on the television series SeaQuest 2032. His television credits include The A-Team, Hill Street Blues, The New Mike Hammer, The Hitchhiker, Tales from the Crypt, Superman: The Animated Series, Walker, Texas Ranger, The Outer Limits, ER, Smallville, ER, Desperate Housewives, Justice League and Masters of Horror.

Ironside has worked in video games as the voice of the character Sam Fisher in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell games.
