Please welcome actress and model Natasha Henstridge to the Washington State Horror Con from October 25th through the 27th in Puyallup. In the 90’s Natasha brought the iconic alien/humanoid Sil to life in the Species movies and quickly became a household name.
Henstridge quickly made a name for herself in the modeling world, gracing the pages of numerous magazines and becoming one of the most sought-after models of the early 1990s. Her striking looks and tall stature (standing at 5’10”) contributed to her success.
Her breakthrough into acting came with the lead role in the 1995 science fiction film “Species,” where she played Sil, an alien-human hybrid. This role thrust her into the spotlight, making her an overnight sensation and a sex symbol. Following “Species,” Henstridge starred in a series of action and sci-fi films, including “Species II”.
From conquering comedy with Bruce Willis in The Whole Nine Yards to taking the action-heroine lead in John Carpenter’s science-fiction thriller Ghosts of Mars, Natasha has proved herself to be a versatile and fearless actress. She won the Best Actress Gemini Award (Canada’s equivalent of an Emmy Award) for her hard-hitting portrayal of a policeman’s wife in the miniseries Would Be Kings and starred with Geena Davis in the Golden Globe-winning series Commander in Chief. Her television credits include leading roles in hit series She Spies and Eli Stone, and voicing Miss Ellen on South Park. She returned to movies, starring with Paul Sorvino and Joe Mantegna in the forthcoming period drama The Bronx Bull, playing the wife of legendary boxer Jake LaMotta.
Meet Natasha Henstridge all weekend at the Washington State Horror Con from October 25th through the 27th. She will be signing autographs, taking photos, and speaking on a panel at the show. Tickets for the Washington State Horror Con are on sale now: www.wahorrorcon.com
