Hocus Pocus is still the focus for another guest announcement for the Washington State Horror Con. Please welcome Omri Katz from Disney’s cult classic Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus Shaw to the lineup in Puyallup from October 25th through the 27th.

Omri Katz is probably best known for appearing in the iconic Disney Film Hocus Pocus as the primary protagonist, Maximilian “Max” Dennison, a sarcastic and smart-aleck teenager from Los Angeles who has recently moved to Salem, Massachusetts.

Katz is a retired American actor who grew popular after appearing in the soap opera Dallas. He began his acting career when he was just seven and won the Soap Opera Digest Award for his portrayal of John Ross Ewing III in Dallas.

Following the success of his first show, Katz received more TV series offers and was seen as a guest actor in Simon & Simon Boy, The Torkelsons, and Zorro. He received his first leading role with the NBC series Eerie, Indiana in 1991 as Marshall Teller. Despite its short run, the series grew popular and remained a hit on Disney’s channels.

He made his film debut with the hit Matinee, but his second film Hocus Pocus became a cult hit and continues to be mentioned and remembered by many today. His other works include Adventures in Dinosaur City and guest roles in Freaks and Geeks and General Hospital and a recurring role in The John Larroquette Show.

Meet Omri Katz all weekend at the Washington State Horror Con from October 25th through the 27th. He will be signing autographs, taking photos, and speaking on a panel at the show. Tickets for the Washington State Horror Con will go on sale on August 1st.
