Hocus Pocus has become a focus for the Washington State Horror Con. Please welcome one of the stars from Disney’s cult classic Halloween movie, Vinessa Shaw to the lineup in Puyallup from October 25th through the 27th.

Vinessa Elizabeth Shaw is an American film actress and model. She began her career as a child actor and had her break-out role in Disney’s 1993 Halloween comedy-fantasy film Hocus Pocus as Allison Watts. Shaw also portrayed Lynn in the 2006 remake of Wes Craven’s horror film The Hills Have Eyes.

Shaw also appeared in Ladybugs and L.A. Without a Map. While attending Barnard College, Shaw was cast in a supporting role in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, after which she decided to pursue acting into adulthood.

Vinessa Can Next Be Seen On Season 2 Of The Hit Apple TV+ series Swagger. Shaw starred In Carlson Young’s The Blazing World Opposite Dermot Mulroney. She also starred in the Netflix Original, Clinical and Blumhouse’s Addicted. She had a recurring role on Showtime’s Ray Donovan and in A&E’s Those Who Kill. She can also be seen in the independent feature Cold In July Opposite Michael C. Hall and Sam Shepherd, and the Steven Soderbergh feature Side Effects opposite Jude Law.

She stars opposite Joaquin Phoenix in James Gray’s Two Lovers. Her other credits include Puncture, Big Miracle, 3:10 To Yuma, 40 Days And 40 Nights, Melinda And Melinda, and The Weight Of Water.
