Henry is no stranger to Mike Flanagan roles as his horror credits include the role of Father Tom in Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016), Tom in Gerald’s Game (2017), young Hugh Crain in The Haunting of Hill House (2018), the bartender/Jack Torrance in Doctor Sleep (2019), and Henry Wingrave in The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020).
Henry was Ed Flynn in Midnight Mass (2021), Frederick Usher in The Fall of the House of Usher (2023), and Dan Crandall in Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (2023). Some of his earlier horror appearances include young Norman Bates in Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990), as well as roles in Masters of Horror, Stephen King’s Desperation (2006), and Nightmares & Dreamscapes.
Thomas first gained wide recognition as Elliott in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). He later appeared in films such as Fire in the Sky (1993), Legends of the Fall (1994) as Samuel Ludlow, Gangs of New York (2002) as Johnny Sirocco, All the Pretty Horses (2000), and Dear John (2010).
His television credits include the miniseries Moby Dick (1998) and the television film Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination, Crawlspace (2022) and Sam & Kate (2022).
