Brett Gelman

Brett Gelman is an actor and comedian best known for playing Murray Bauman, the conspiracy theorist and former journalist, on Netflix’s Stranger Things. He joined the series in its second season and has appeared through its later seasons, becoming a series regular as the story expanded.

Before Stranger Things, Gelman worked in comedy and television, including Adult Swim’s Eagleheart, NBC’s Go On, Comedy Central’s Another Period, and FX’s Married. He later played Martin in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag, a role that earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He also appeared in HBO’s Camping and a recurring part on Mr. Mercedes.

His other film credits include supporting roles in The Other Guys, 30 Minutes or Less, Jobs, The Disaster Artist, Without Remorse, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Strays, and Boy Kills World. He has also done voice work on series such as Inside Job and I Heart Arlo.
